Default Kenwood vs. Pioneer

I want to know peoples opinions on Kenwood and Pioneer. Specifically the Pioneer Avic D3 and the Kenwood DNX7100.

I really like the Pioneer but I don't like that you have switch discs just to start to navigate.

So i started searching and found the Kenwood DNX7100. I love that it has an internal 2 gb hard drive for navigation so i dont have to switch discs. Als it has a USB input for Play-for-sure mp3 players and/or usb hard drives in the FAT32 format.

Personally I love the way the pioneer looks and heard nothing but good things. I just can't seem to find anything being said about the kenwood.

Also if there are any site where I can read up on navi reciever please let me know. thanks.

on the pioneer unit you can still use the navi with out the disk. you just have to load you desti first then pop out the disk to pop in your movie or cd. Or you can just add the xdv-p6 and keep the disk in and use the changer.

On the Avic D3, can you add the optional usb add on like you can with some of their single din receivers?

AVIC Z-series.

Pioneer is one of the best makers of in-dash DVD/navigation. Kenwood decks I'm not particularly fond of.

I was looking at those. I love'em they even have their own forum. But it a bit out of my price range. Even the Z1s are still going for 2K.

The kenwood deck that i'm taking about just came out this month and the navigation is handled by garmin. If you come across any reviews on the net about it please post up some links for me thanks.

i have SOME experience with the pioneer avic d2/d3

i like the features of the new d3 but imo it has some fallbacks. smaller screen and front loading dvd slot make it look and feel a little cheap when compared to the d2.

as much as i love pionner i would probably look into the simlarly priced eclipse units or the kenwood you mentioned

Thanks. I'mreally looking looking hard at the kenwood. The thing that I wanna see is the interface and navigation.
