Odometer
I had a different engine put in my car and every since the odometer hasn't worked. Is there a cable or something that may not have been connected? Where do I look and what do I look for?
Well if the speedo is working it means the VSS on top of the differential is okay.
sorta strange it happened right at the exact time of an engine swap though.
You could open up the cluster and look for cracked solder joints or poor connections; other than that a junkyard cluster swap is the easy way to go.

I'm having the same issue we replaced the engine and shortly after that my odometer has stoped working -- we replaced the instument cluster and that didn't fix it so if you figured it out please let me know.
