Default Condensation in back lights.

After a good wash, I noticed I had a small ammount of water in one of my blocks of back lights. See the condensation in the pics. Anyone know if there is any easy to sort this out? Will it get worse? Is it anything to worry about?

looking closer...

it happens as the seals dry out over the yeqars letting the water in....to fix the problem...A)remove the tailights ands get new gaskets or B0 remove tailights & use a small bead of silicone around old gasket to help seal...

also dry them out completely before reinstallin

Are you getting any water in your trunk?

It might not be the taillight gaskets at all, as was the case with my car. I had water coming in the top edge of the red lens. To figure that out, I filled my bathtub with water and then dunked the whole taillight assembly, with the red lens facing up. I saw tons of bubbles coming out the top edge of the red lens so I knew water was getting in there. I ran a bead of silicone along the top edge of the lens and haven't had any problems since.

He needs to figure out where the water is coming in. I tried silicone between my taillight and the gasket, and it did not fix my problem at all.

Since the condensation is in his taillights, it is nearly certain that his taillight gasket is at fault. The less likely case is that the housing could be cracked.

I was thinking of Patrick's much larger water leak issue.

Oh believe me, I had plenty of water inside my taillight lenses, exactly like in those pics above. That's why I was asking if he was water in the trunk. The water came in through the top edges of the lenses, filled up the housing, and then spilled over into the trunk.

They are very easy to remove and I will guarantee that the issue is the inner gasket. I actually have a brand new one in the package that I never used. PM me if you want it for a good price!
