Default My 81.5 lsvtec dyno sheet. New times page 2!!!

First off, thanks to all you rude ******** that offered advice in the most dick like manner possible lol

Head is built and mildly ported. S2S2 cams, Profab header, Mahle 9cc pistons (.007 in the hole) on shotpeened ls rods and a 3 inch exhaust. Car started at the first pull (this was with the three inch exhaust, car ran a 12.90 with a 2.25) at 183 whp. After 25 pulls by one bad ************ with crome, we picked up 24 whp to the tune of 207/152. Car pulled hard before, it's stupid now.

RPM on the dyno was off slightly and we were letting off at 9400 according to the ECU. The dyno didn't feel like picking up a spark plug signal for RPM so we were using an optical eye and reflective tape.

AF's stay at a consistent 12.0-11.8 throughout and car will change lanes from tq steer . Definitely time to get off the hip and get an LSD now. Thanks for all the advice during the build of this turd. Going Friday night to try to put it DEEP in the 12's since my best guess is we have picked up 30 whp since the 12.90 pass.

Before and after.

UPDATED TIMES ON PAGE 2!!!!!!

1.8 power all the way!!! this is one of my inspirations. Was gonna do b20 build...but worried about reliability. There's alot of 12 second potential from a properly built 1.8. nice setup and good times

Very nice numbers. And to think about, it was on such a small cam by todays standards.

great #s but the 150tq throws me off on a 1.8L. most of the time they run 130s-140.

Af's in the 11.8-12.0 range, thats super rich for an NA setup. If you running it that rich because of the compression, you should be running a higher octane instead to resist detonation, then you could make even more power

Good numbers.

What is the vehicle weight with driver?

You should know dyno's lie. Trap speeds don't.

Run the car, now!

true ive seen supposed 250WHP 200TQ K motors run 111 traps in VX and ive seen another K car making 205WHP 170TQ run 109 in a VX. something just didnt add up. 12.1s VS 12.2s. you do the math. someones fudging their numbers.

That is some nice power, but those AFs seem like turbo numbers. If you get them closer to 13 then you should have more power.

The hump was tuned out but total tq under the curve dropped off and peak tq was in the 145 range.

The AFR's were there becuase thats where the car was making power. We tuned it in the normal NA afr's and the car didn't like it too much. No audible detonation on the dyno and no flakes on the plugs, nice and clean but the car just wouldn't make more than 195/142 or so at the normal afr.

Don't ask me, it's a bit on the rich side but it's what the motor wanted so it's what she got.

When you ran the richer A/F's, were you able to increase timing? or was timing untouched?

It's a nitrous setup so the timing was locked down after the vtec transition at 21 degrees total. It makes it easier to tune the nitrous and the second fuel system.

Skoundrel, hell yeah man I didn't think they would make that much power the way we were tuning the car for the bottle and because of the very light headwork we did.

I'm pretty happy as a whole. I will have ET's tomorrow night unless it rains. Then we will start tuning the car on the bottle and see how quick we can get it.

This is the motor that has the sky high compression to run on the street correct?
When it even tuned before when you were ripping it at the strip with it running 12.90's?

It was street tuned prior to the track very conservatively because we hadn't received the 3 inch muffler yet so it was on a 2.25 exhaust when it ran the 12.90.

Static compression of the motor after cc'ing the chambers and measuring the depth of the pistons is 13.3:1 but with cam timing and duration, it's in the mid 10's so very streetable on pump gas.
