96-00 civic black interior
No black interior was available for 96-00 in North America. The EK9 in Japan and EK4 (VTi Jordan) in Europe had black interior for the hatchback.
BlueIntegraBoy hit the bullseye. Only EK9 and EK4 came in black, that's why i'm going the other route and use duplicolor vynl and fabric to repaint my interior. Goes on like paint but details come through as it dries and is more of a dye.
I change my interior to black, well just the seats front, back, and carpet. but yeah i was thinking about painying it black do u have any pics.

Wrong. Read the posts above you to shed the light.

I just swapped some black prelude seats into my EJ8. I like the look so much I am thinking of recovering my headliner and visors in black, going with black carpet, and then painting the light gray upper plastic pillar pieces and headliner trim pieces too.

I don't really think we got **** on for not having a stock USDM black interior... but then again, black looks dry too easily imo and then starts to look cheap (I'm talking about pretty much any car that comes with a black plastic interior).
I'd check places that already sell JDM parts though. If they sell them then they can piobably get ahold of any other parts you ask for.
Of course since there is no black interior (that I know of) on a 6th gen coupe, you're going to have to end up painting or dying the rear sections. And you'll probba ly get charged an arm and a leg for the OEM black parts since they're "JDM" and "CTR".
I think the US is lucky... we got a body style a lot of countries didn't get at all. The coupe. Plus all of the 6th gens are 1.6L instead of 1.4L and 1.5L.

All RHD I think
I used vinyl dye on mine - didn't go for the CTR look, but I did paint the dash and parts of the door/rear panels. I don't have any current pics cause the car is still under the knife with suspension and exterior paint work.

As for that, I took everything out of the car (dash and all) to make sure it was prepped and covered correctly, so no paint smell involved.

No, there are some LHD black dashes. Most of europe is LHD, not RHD.

Very nice, but I thought if it ever got scratched wouldn't the gray be exposed. It would be a shame all that trouble and still be able to see gray. Also how good does the interior spray hold up anyways ? Fade maybe I say stick with the OEM at least the dark gray wouldn't be as bad as the lighter one. Anyways good luck with it / Post pics!
