You need to find a shop that imports that stuff from overseas. Personally I wouldnt put it in because one of these days you will be the one getting hurt with your own alarm.

I've heard people talking about hooking their battery up to the frame of their car or door to shock the thief. Of course, that wouldn't work, and it's a bad idea anyways. If you use something that can inflict harm on the person, you always run the risk of accidentally hurting an innocent person or yourself, and you'd probably be held accountable if a thief got hurt.

I've had some other ideas, which I may put into use soon... I may use a bright strobe light (like a camera's flash) so the crook wont be able to see what he's doing inside my car (and it will also attract attension). An interior siren also sounds like a good idea; http://www.allelectronics.com sells a small but loud (100db) 12VDC siren for really cheap. I've also heard of filling the inside with fake smoke so the crook can't see, but that would be complicated and people would think your car is on fire and call the fire department; I think the strobe light idea would work better. I was also thinking about seeing if I can find some sort of electrically controlled latches that would act as a hidden 2nd lock for the doors, hood, and trunk.

I'll probably use some homemade sensors too. I got some good ideas from a book I read a while ago. I'll post info if they work out...

I think someone messed with my car last night. I'll probably be starting design on enhancing my alarm tonight and getting the first round of parts tomorrow. Damn crooks.
