Default Does changing overall wheel diameter reak havoc on abs/tcs/ecu components?

I would like to go down to a 225/50/15 compared to a 205/70/15 stock size. The tire place which I made the purchase with claimed that this would lead to problems with abs and electrical components. True or false? Is there a certain % of diameter that is allowed by the abs sensors?

You're obviously talking about tire diameter, not wheel diameter.

In general, ABS and the ECU is not affected by changing the tire diameter. TCS can be affected if the sizes used change the ratio of the front diameter to the rear diameter, not usually if you are switching between one set of four tires all the same size to another set that are all the same size (but a different size from the earlier set).

However, 225/50-15 is almost 6 percent smaller in diameter. That's a HUGE difference, and is probably a bad idea. Which Honda/Acura model are you talking about?
