I need to chg the auto-tranny fluid in my 2001 accord, what type of

where is that located ? This engine(Vtech-4 banger) has 103k on it.

Use Honda ATF from the dealer (or mailorder)
Buy 3 quarts, you'll need about 2.6 (assuming same as my '98)

If it's nasty dirty, buy enough to drain/fill about 3 or 4 times, drive around inbetween. That's because there's really 6.6 quarts but only 2.6 can drain out. Check out what's stuck to the magnetic drain plug.

No filter change. There's a screen, but you have to dismante the tranny. It's not supposed to be replaced routinely.

Why not just do a T-TEC? That would be the most efficient way. A lot better than drain and fill. I did a drain and fill and my tranny still got jacked. You can change the screen, but it's inside the tranny itself, like Jim said. Also, you can try adding some Lucas Transmission Fix in with the ATF to prolong the life of your tranny.
