the car is obd1 on a p28 and i dont care about passing emissions

 

I believe that might be the solenoid for the air intake cold start. The one that connects to the diaphragm that is down in the original air intake. Which you obviously don't have. If the solenoid isn't connected to anything you should be fine.

 

unplug it.. if you get a code, you need it. That simple

 

throw it out and never look at it again...you dont need it.
