tranny swap. worth it?
about to have saved at the $5000 mark, and was wondering if it's worth putting 1500+ for parts and about $800 for labor to do a tranny swap on a 15 year old car. I DO love the prelude, and have always loved it, but is doing this a wise idea?
If you are looking at doing an auto to manual on a 4th gen, which I assume you are, you would love it! Butttt I bet you can get a better price than that! or learn more about your car and do it yourself at least!

Yea, MB racing, and the guy said "preludes are complicated", and i said its not a 5th gen with ATTS...its a auto to manual swap...

I talked to Kevin, one of the owners of MB Racing the other day and he quoted me $500 for labor, but that was on an Integra I was thinking about getting. Pm me so I can try to work something out for you. I've spent money with them b4 so they know me

i just want something fun to drive - not planning on decking out, just want a nice, reliable, fast car that i can keep for a while.
I've always dreamed of tuning a honda since i became interested in cars about 6 years ago...i got a really good deal on this prelude and couldnt say no. Right now i'm trying to learn as much as possible, however with my current situation i have really no1 to learn from and dont have the time or money to take courses - even though cars really are my passion.
