Default exhaust problem

2000 civic lx 4dr: So I bought an ebay header for my g/f's car just because the stock one is over 700 dollars. Now the exhaust donut they gave me will not fit on the intermediate pipe. My next idea is to just get the whole exhaust but I keep reading about some kind of space. Will I need that since I have an aftermarket header or will I have to get it? Also, will the catback be all I need or is this going to need another pipe to connect to my 4-2-1

yes, I have an aftermarket header and my attempt is to put it on the stock exhaust but it will not connect at the gasket/donut piece and it does seem to be a bit short

get a decent brand name header for $200-350 bucks and u don't worry about ebay's shitty quality & fitment issues.

ya a little too late for that.. lol. Like I said, its for my gf and she just wants it to run but would like just a bit more power so I'm figuring a whole exhaust will atleast give it a slight bit.

You just answered your own question... if you're thinking of getting a catback, then its from the cat back. Not the header back. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the LX has the cat on the downpipe right? Your new header most likely doesn't. Is that header for an LX? Maybe it was made to bolt up to a cat and not an extension pipe.
