its not hard you just have to be careful. as far as i know they do not come with a template but i believe in the cosmetic forum they have a link to where you can print one out.

pretty easy....i used that write up...and it helped but i traced the sidemarker itself on to a piece of paper....and cut it out..and taped it to the fender and traced around onto fender...and cut inside of the line....pretty simple i used a level to make sure it was straight...and triple check.measurments...heres how mine came out....and i wired the side markers to my bumper lights so they blink...
