I'm aware this post prolly makes me sound stupid but here it goes

I had one amp in, and 1 night it stopped working. The light comes on but status goes to red. I put my other amp in and within a day it also powered up and the status light just turns red.

What could be the problem?

 

Speaker wires shorting or bad ground.

 

could also be too low of an impedence

 

If you have a multimeter or a friend with one, check the resistance between the speaker wires and the chassis.

 

Make and model of amp? 94

 

may have a fried voicecoil

 

amp is in protect mode ......check impedence of subs w/ multimeter ...
