Default TEST ONLY SMOG B20V ?

ok guys gonna b puttin in a b20v in my daily 2000 em1 just woundering my cars a salvage title from theft i smoged it once when i got it and now it will need smog again soon. if the motor is in what happens if i need a test only ? will i need a test only ? i need some help here i know a smog guy to hook it but no clue what happens if i get test only... ? need some help here ! anything plz thx ahead ! very confused !

havent got anything yet in the mail thats what im afraid of my dad said since its a salvage its prolly gonna need a test only... because his benz is salvage too and the papers came test only . so now im getting kinda worried !

if you did smog it, i dont think it would pass wit a b20vtec.......

B20, B20VTEC, and LSVTEC cannot pass smog by someone who actually follows the rules. If you go to someone who doesnt care youll have no problem.

nope super strict here. we actually cant really put any swaps in, and if we do they have to pass smog...which is a pain in the ***.

i havent had to smog my eg with an ls/v in it...but im doin it illegally when i do

You can't legally smog a LS/VTEC or a B20 in CA as previously stated. You can't ref them either. No matter what.

A lot of times you can find a smog tech that wont know the difference.

what about if they ask for test only ? then what do i do ?

You will have to have a smog compliant motor.

Doesn't matter if you are required to go to a test only or a smog check station.

Smog laws are the same regardless of the test required.
