ok i got a 97 civic dx my beater and i recently replaced my AC compressor and charged the system it worked for a while but one day i turned on the AC and it was'nt getting cold so yea my freon or watever it's called leak out but i also noticed it smell like gasoline and whenever i turn on even just the fan it still smells like gasoline any ideas on why it smells like gasoline thanks for any help

 

First of all Sound like your leaking freon from the compressor... Check the connections. Secondly is it really how out when your smelling the gas? If so it could be the evap purge canister. During the summer when it is steamin outside I smell gas too, no leaks just the canister.

 

well all of it leaked out so i got a buddy that works at a dealership and were gonna charge it and put some dye in there 2 see where it's leaking from and second it smell like gas any time of the day and i can't see anything leaking or anything
