Tranny not going into any gear but 4th and 2nd!!!!!!!!!!!!

Car was driving fine and now it wont go into any gear but 4th and sometimes second. It seems like I have to really struggle to even get it there. What the hell just happened to my transmission!?!?!

Could it be that the clutch master cylinder blew out?

It wii not go into 1st 3rd 5th but will go into 2nd (sometimes) 4th (all the time) and R (sometimes)

Any explanations?

Sucks because my car was going to get tuned tomorrow too

Can you put into gear(1,3,5) when the car is off. Not running.

Nope. it will not go into 1,3,5 at all

check shift linkage maybe the bushing is bad or fell off. also check the fluid level and condition

have you visually checked your linkage?

try get under it and see if you can shift it by hand.

He's right. Because 1st and 2nd share a common shift fork and synchro as well as 3rd and 4th. It wouldn't make sense for something inside your transmission to fail.
