Just found a pretty good deal, a 1994 Integra Special Edition, auto, only 117k, for only 500 bucks. Body is good, except the windshield is smashed from the hood flying up while on the highway. The owner did confirm two minor accidents before. He said that there aren't any oil leaks, and visually looking at the engine, I came to the same conclusion. However, when I checked the oil dipstick, only the bottom 1/4" had oil on it, so the oil level was way way low. I asked him that and he said that it was because the car was sitting for a while. My question is can oil just "disappear" like that when sitting for a couple months at a time?

not really but it could be burnt. get to know the history of the engine. if it sits for awhile it should rise from all the oil comming from the head and stuff
