Default fair price for gsr

I'm looking for a gsr and I just wanted some feed back on how much i should pay for one. I found a 99' w/ 96k on it, the bodies nice and so is the interior, he's asking 8,900, I'm thinking that's kind of steep for something about to crack 100k. thanks

Not for Washington it isn't man. You can't find a remotely clean hatchback in this state for less than 4k and those cars are atleast 10 years old. I would try and talk him down to 8k.

EDIT: This is what KBB rates it at,

I bought my 00 GSR a few months ago for 8K, 140K miles on it. I know that's pretty high for the miles, but the car is very clean, not a dent on it. I plan on a built block soon anyway.

I live in Oregon, but bought my 2001 GSR 4-door in Washington for 14,500 about a year ago. I know I probably paid way to much, but it was exactly what I wanted.
80K miles, Drag turbo kit fully tuned @ 6 PSI, 550 injector, Skunk2 exhaust(smog legal) No puffs of smoke when you shift at 9k RPM. The interior and exterior were completly stock and perfect, all of the engine work was done right. Did I get ripped off?

what if it has a brand new rebuilt engine? How much should you pay for a gsr with 100k chassis miles, but brand new engine?

i paid 9700 for my 99 4 door with 83K.. 3 years ago.. His asking price is a little pricey but if the motor is in good condition and there are receipts to show that he maintained the motor.. it might be a good investment.. My car about is at 140K and it still runs awesome.
