yes i know stupid question. but i was wondering if the defrost button lights up like the hazard does? none of my friends have a ek so i cant compare. thx

 

Not the whole button, but theres a small area on it that emits an amber glow, letting you know its on.

 

it seems like they like to stop working . mine and my friends dont work anymore.

 

there is a little bulb in there, pull the switch out and pull the bulb out the side of it.
honda sells them, and most parts stores have the bulbs without the base.

 

i meant does teh white part light up? or just the amber part lights up?

When you turn on your lights the hazard glows. you get what i am going at? the white part does that glow? i know teh amber comes on when its on.

 

Yeah, the mini defrost "emblem" should light up, so if you are driving at night, you should be able to see the defrost sign. If yours doesn't turn on, try hitting your dashboard a few times w/your hand... mine was out and turned back on after I did that. I'm guessing it's a loose connection (at least for mine).

Not a stupid question. Not 100% sure on EK, but 1992-1995 have two lights, one for the indicator, one for the back light.

There's a write-up I did a while back for the bulbs in a 1992-1995 switch. I'd be willing to bet the design for EK is similar if not identical, and it's probably the bulb that has failed.
