work on security first before modding out your car.

depends on your price range. If you want performance your gonna have to spend well over $100 to get some results.

The first thing I got on my civic was sercurity

To get power out of a B16a2 u need alot more then that but with that range you could get your self a nice air intake or order a cheap one from ebay and throw a K&N filter on it. . and spend the rest on maintenance on the engine if u havent done that already . . .

Yeah, actually, they can be that bad Your car runs nothing better than a mid-15, and another $200-$300 is not going to improve that (unless you can find a used nitrous setup for that much).

You need forced induction or more displacement. Pick your poison and start saving.

to go faster your choices are boost, n02, supercharger, and the really expensive route would be to go naturally aspirated and you will make alright Hp but not as much as boost or anything else for that matter and spend mucho more amount of money.
if i were you i would get some suspension instead.

they pull about the same as d16 until around 5k i think... so unless you're running over that (which i suspect you are) its about the same as a d16

so ya it is that bad

when i blow my d16... i say when cause it will happen... i'm gonna get b18 or b20 for sure

It's all in the tune to make a turbo car reliable...but if it were MY car with stock internals, I wouldn't go over 8psi.

You're going to have to spend some money if you want it to run decent, and the best HP per dollar is spent on a turbo kit IMO

8psi is a good starting point. Go with boost and suspension.

BLAHHAHAHAHAHHAHHAH!!!!

First off noob,94 octane gas on a stock b16 will make it loose power.

Secondly the higher the octance does not mean higher the hp.It simply measures its probability to knock or in other words, how conbustible it is. You see race cars using high octane fuel and that is because they either have a high compression motor which the fuel self ignites before it reaches TDC(top dead center) or they have a turbo setup. When air is compressed, its temperature reaches and in a turbo engine where there is a lot of compressed air,it has enough activation energy to ignite the fuel where its supposed to be done by spark plug.
