Default Tokico HP shocks/springs for lowering?

I have KYB GR2's on my car right now, slammed all the way to the wheelwell with coilovers. Well, it bounces like hell and I'm wanting to redo my suspension.

I've heard SOME good things about the Tokico HP shocks/struts and that they don't bounce that much. I know the Illumina's would probably be best since they are adjustable but I'm not willing to pay that much. Bounce is alright with me but mine is ridiculous.

So the question here - are Tokico HP's and Tokico springs any good for lowering your car? I know the drop is only 1 1/2" all the way, so that kind of sucks but if the spring rates are balanced and everything, I guess it doesn't matter too much.

What made you decide to go with GR2's when AGX's are fully adjustable?

Ditto, but even AGX's won't tolerate that extreme of a drop, at least it's not recommended.
I would say look into illuminas or konis

The GR2's were fine and then I wanted to drop it lower, so I just kept them and dropped it more. Would a Tokico HP setup with their lowering springs be OK? It's only a 1 1/2" drop but still, even at that, I think I would have an OK balance for cornering and such.

I'm just trying to get rid of some bounce and still have it looking mean. The way I have my car set up now, the front is dropped as low as it can go without interfering with turning the wheel, and the back is a bit higher. But with an even drop all the way around, it would still be alright

KYB Gr2s are NOT performance Struts, They Are REPLACMENTS FOR STOCK,

GR2s are the AGX set on the 3rd setting

IF your gonna lower your car get AGX, or Tokico Blues

tokico blues = tokico HP.

I like the blues. I just bought my 2nd set, as my originals are 6 years old and DONE.

I plan to send the originals back to Tokico to see if they will honor their lifetime warranty.

I do not have the tokico springs tho, mine are used w/ neuspeed sports.

What about Tokico HP's with TEIN lowering springs? Even if I were to get the Tokico lowering springs, I don't see a big deal in that - the spring rate is matched.

I just bought the Shock and Spring combo from ebay for the Tokicos that only lower it 1.25 inches. I hope they are good enough for daily driving.

Let me know how that goes....it should be alright. If they say use Tokico HP's for lowering, and they make the lowering springs, then I would assume it's alright.
