Default H22 Distributors: JDM vs. USDM

So I found out why my car won't start, it's because my distributor is fried! It's a JDM distributor (internal coil) so a USDM distributor (external coil)wouldn't work right? If I did purchase a USDM distributor for the h22, how would I make it work w/ my H22? or would I have to order a JDM H22 distributor?

its a 96 Honda Accord Sedan EX w/ 94 JDM H22a engine... Thanks!

you can figure out what went wrong in there, and then source parts from a civic distributor to fix it.

its probably the coil, or the ICM, you could pick up either one on here for cheap, used...

We changed the ICM... but not the coil yet... we will try doing both and if nothing, then I'll just end up getting a new distributor

You can get a coil from any year 92-01 civics. Just take the one out of there and go to pepboys, they'll be able to find something.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if Checker/Auto Zone/O'Reillys/etc. and all the other auto stores do the same thing? Thanks again
