Default Flex Pipe vs Donut Gasket

I'm getting ready to do the 2.5" collector mod, and I'm wondering if I should go with a flex pipe or a donut gasket. Does either perform better than the other?

I personally prefer a flex pipe because it allows you to get a good seal with a flat to flat connector but have a lot of room to flex the exhaust.

Have not used donut gaskets aside from a couple of stock cars with catbacks I did for people but those weren't cars that would be at the track launching on slicks so I can't say how they would hold up.

you can make a donut flow better and a flex pipe if done right.

I have wondered how the flow can be that great with a flex pipe if it is ribbed inside.

Ease of dissaembly is also an advantage of the donut gasket.
