Default My GE lsvtec dowel pins are loose in the block...Are yours???

I'm ready to install my PR3-2 head onto my B18A1 and the damn GE pins are loose in the block!! I read this being a problem somewhere on here but I can't remember which thread and page, if someone knows please link me up. Anyways now I'm concerned if this is going to be the cause of an coolant or oil leak? I wonder if there's a fix for this because I don't want to wait another month the receive new pins!!! Any suggestions??? I'm thinking hondabond but I would like to avoid it if possible.

One is loose and the other i had to hammer in....all they do is align the head, they don't seal anything.

Mine were farely loose when they went in the first time, pretty much slid in. Once the head was tq'd though they became pretty solid.

Last time I had the head off the car, I came to the conclusion when I have to remove then eventually, it's going to require a drill and a torch

Yeah, and that was on a street tune and 2.25 exhuast.

12.90's aren't impressive. Look around the rest of this board and see what a lot of guys are running with lsvtecs.

Damn, how fast do you need to go before it is impressive, lol.

Seriously, 12.9 is a all motor civic is pretty good.
Maybe, I'm easily impressed but that is a very respectable number.

11.90's

My setup won't see that on motor but should see deeper in the 12's. Hopefully close to the 12.40 range. Getting the car on the dyno tonight to get it a bit more aggresively tuned and see what I can do Sat night.

mine were loose on the block but tight on the head...anyway they dont seal anything there just for you can line up the head on the block when installing

yeah so far statisticly from my researching and installing the head my pins are loose in the block and tight in the head aswell. I also had to sand the inside of the pin to pass throught the head stud It was a bit rough and I didn't like that.
