Which car should i buy (need help deciding)...please help
So ive been in the market for an integra for about 1-2 weeks now...ive seen close to about 15-20 different integras...most of them have been in an accident (some claim they havent..but when i checked the body panel they have been replaced) and some just ran like ***...So far ive found two that i really like..and the two are:
(used dealership) 1997 124k miles 4dr integra...body wise looks good..some minor flaws...engine runs perfect...however when i inspected the engine..seemed like there may have been a gasket leak on the valve cover...but thas been fixed...ive heard this is sometimes typical of a honda/acura...the used dealership wants 6100 out the door + (optional) 775 ( 3 year unlimited miles on drive train)
(private seller) 1998 2dr integra gsr w/ 115k...body seems pretty good..owner admit that he got hit from the rear but everything was fixed...engine runs pretty good...he wants 6500...hes also willing to let me have a mechanic look at it or go through a diagnostic check by an acura dealer
with that said in mind...which one do u think i should get..my max budget is 6700 so its kinda hard to find the perfect one...also is there anything i should look for or listen to when goin back for a final inspection before i decide?
any help will be appreciated..thanks

GSR for Vtec Yo! When you do your final inspection listen for that Vtec and make sure it works! LOL. J/K. No really, get the GSR, you wont be disappointed. Plus it has less miles, as long are there wasnt any frame damage to the rear and its a clean title, then your good. Also keep in mind that your going to have to register the car yourself and tax and registartion is going to be more than the $200 you'll have left over. Also ask the seller how nad the accident was and what was repaired and have him point it out to you.
as far as style is concerned...it really doesnt matter too much..a modiified 4 dr is a rare sight..which is good..to have something somewhat unique...but a gsr is hard to find as well...so both of them are a plus since the price is pretty decent and body is in excellent condition.
Can anyone tell me what i should look for in each of the car...to make sure there is nothing wrong with the engine and so forth

def go for the gsr. For the extra $400 go for it. I also really dont like buying from used car-dealerships cause they always overprice their cars(gotta make profit somehow). You will not regret getting the vtec
the warranty is what catches me...lol...i was thinkin about getting an edelbrock turbo kit (50 state legal and passes smog) ...but turns out they only make it for the gsr and none for the ls

the warrenty does give u that peace of mind... but how long will you have the car... what are the purposes for it ie: track, dd, street car? plus ull have the cahnce to take it and get it checked out which is a nice feature...
you will have more fun in the GSR... but it is ur call... let us no what you decide on...
ohh and btw uve only been in the market for 1-2 weeks... ive been in the market for a S2K for about 3 months now... you just got to wait for the right one... ohh and it migh be a good idea to either go on carfax.com or no someone that has an account and check out the cars before you even look at them... itll help a lot

you shouldn't spend anything close to your full budget... cars will often have things that need replacing soon and when you buy a new car, changing all your fluids is smart and will cost you about 100. I'd go the the GSR because you'll be missing that extra 30 hp very quickly... there is a reason 2dr integras are more popular, theyre sportier looking and feeling.
well i finally checked out the gsr one more time..and ive decided that im goin to go ahead and pick up the gsr...in my opinion i think its flawless and the guy has his maintence records and everything
I kinda like my 4 door gsr. Heavy little bitch though. Weighed in at 2820 half tank gas without me in it.
Completely stock.
I think you'll like the gsr and my integra gsr 4 door is cheaper to insure than my 91 accord wagon.
94 gsr 168.00 every six months
91 accord wagon 193.00 every six months
92 hatch cx 118.00 every six months
Insurance is another thing you want to look at with buying a sportier car.
