How long do you guys go in between driving your R's? Mine is a daily driver but a freak accident last week at work left me not able to drive for a full week. The doc said i shouldn't be driving yet but managed to sneak out for a drive. I cam back with a huge smile on my face! What a pleasure it is to own such a fine crafted machine.

2 weeks. Luckily, I was able to drive my buddy's S2000 during the dry spell. Gotta have weekly dose of VTEC!

 

well so far for me I have been officially Rless for 25 days and counting

Once for 4 weeks, then again for 6 weeks.

 

Once for ~12 weeks..... Mine is a daily driver now... and lovin' every minute of it.

 

Drive once or twice a wk if weather are sunny. Never rainy day. Stored away for winter. Never see snow and salt!
2000 FPB ITR#498 at 12K miles.

One winter, I only took the ITR out on the weekend and took the bus to work.

 

im looking at 2 mon+ starting this setember.

 

2 weeks. but i got to drive an E36 as a replacement (modded with a dinan chip, exhaust, and race suspension)

 

where should i begin?
1. 4 weeks- i got the car 3/00 and lost my license from previous tickets
2. 1 week, got in to accident in the snow 3/01
3. 5 weeks-bent valves 7/01 and dealer said it would be covered under warrenty, but wasnt and took forever for them to finish.
4. 2 days-broke pressure plate 9/01
5. 4.5 months, another accident in 12/01, insurance company did full investigation and took their time. car came out in middle of April 02

so it looks like i 've been w/ out my car for about 7 months of the 2years of ownership

it has led a very rough life so far ,but still going strong

 

been 3-5 days so far, its horrible

 

Sorry to say Jordo, but it gets worse.... Try 12 weeks...

 

over a month...and i thought i was gonna go insane

 

Total about 8 months.
3 months last year and around 5-6months this year in 3 month groups.
Have gone 1-4weeks in a row also but thats nothing to the 3-4 month waits I've gone through!

Last year when I went 3 months I thought I was gonna loose it. I then discovered gas RC cars and got hooked on them to hold me over. Now this year it isn't that bad because I have many things I can still do since the race season is going on plus I have tons of other projects and issues to deal with. The only time it gets hard is when I go to races and see people having a blast or when I just want to go out and whoop some *** in my car whenever I want.

1.5 months and I almost died.

 

Longest I went with out drivin the R was 4 days (Needed rear bumper sprayed, was told 2days max yeah right), nearly killed me, had to drive around in a couple of old oil burners . Went out for a long scurf when I got the R back (bliss)

That is amazing how long some of you had gone without driving your R's. When i drove mine after a week i was still in pain (sprained my ankle badly) using the gas/brake pedal but the sheer delight of just being behind the wheel of my car made the pain go away.

I don't know what i would do if i couldn't drive it for months at a time

 

well when i get my car back, then as much as i can.

 

16 days and the nawwwwws blew it up

 

longest is 2 wks......

 

Haven't driven my R since February 1. It's in storage until I come back from Korea.
