Default not just another D series oem tranny build

Has anyone pondered this build??
After pondering all day about how to build a replica ITR s80 gearset without swaping from my stock 4.25 final drive this is what I came up with....

It is very similar to bense's batman trans found here :http://bensebuilt.livejournal.com/2006/11/11/

The limiting factor is the tall second gear of the zc @ 1.944 but its as good as you will get with the 4.25 FD

This Is what I came up with*(all with 205-50-15's)

1st - 3.250 si/hf/ex/zc/lx/dx... 1st
2nd - 1.944 zc 2nd
3rd - 1.650 hf 2nd
4th - 1.259 si/ex 3rd
5th - 0.937 cable si 4th (but may go with zc 5th (.878) or cable si 5th (.771))
FD - 4.25 si/ex

mph with 8000 redline

1st - 39.77
2nd - 66.48
3rd - 78.33
4th - 102.66
5th - 137.93 (or with zc 5th 147.2)(or cable si 5th 167.63)

mph with 9000 redline

1st - 44.74
2nd - 74.79
3rd - 88.12
4th - 115.49
5th - 155.18

compaired to the itr s80 http://www.fatboyraceworks.com...are=1

or same setup with dx/lx 4.058 final drive: and 8000 redline

1st - 41.65
2nd - 69.63
3rd - 82.04
4th - 107.51
5th - 144.46

If there was a 2.200 2nd gear made that would even this setup out perfect But there is not.

The 4.058 fd and the 1.944 second make for a semi long 2nd gear. but only 3.15mph taller than the best possaible useing factory parts (zc 2 1.9442nd with si/ex 4.25 fd)

D Tranny guru's chime in...

please explain "move"
are you saying hf second cant be used as 3rd??
is that the only reason this setup wont work (if i ran the zc 5th)

another question: I totally rebuilt my tranny last year with a bearing, syncro kit from standardtransmission.com will the my cable si syncros work if i use the "classic setup" and just run the si fd and 5th gear with the zc 2,3,4?

Yes. Mainshaft second is machined directly on the shaft. It cannot be moved into third gear location.
