Default Help to get oem piston off rod?

I'm trying to get an oem F22/H23 connecting rod that was pulled from an F22A1 from a 92 accord. I can't get the piston off. I heated up the rod with a propane torch and slammed a socket down onto the top of the wrist pin with a hammer and it was solid as a rock. I looked at it for awhile and it looks like there are two pieces of the wristpin, one for each side, and they are pressed into the rod and divided by a ring thats part of the rod or something? help?

Take them to a machine shop man. They are pressed in and out. I am sure if you beat/heat enough you can get them apart but I personally wouldn't want anything in my motor moving that fast to have been beat with a sledge hammer.

I'll never run it. I can get H beams or shot peened OEM for the same price and for all motor I want to know what the weight is of the oem rod. Its not online, and I have this piston lying around so I'm trying to get it off the rod. at this point i'm just screwing around... now its like a game, me vs wristpin(s)? is it 2 pieces like it looks>?

Oh I see, in that case, I would think you are on the right track man but I think it takes over 5000 psi to move that pin. I can't remember what the machine shop said when I was in there.

Yea you just need to get it hot enough. It will slide out smoothly. You will notice a purplish color when it is hot enough.

my torch sucks... I got it out finally, but bent the rod in the process. heated it for 5 minutes or so then used a 1/2 inch extension and socket and beat the expletive outta it. after about 50 hits it fell out. I only hit the piston twice. thanks everyone
