Default Replacing front sway bar end-link

So mine is busted. I was going to replace it but had 1 question:

On the side attaching to the sway bar, you put a hex key in the actual bolt where the nut fastens onto, but it impossible to fit a socket over that... you could use a ratchet-wrench or just a regular wrench, but I wouldn't be able to tq it down to whatever is specified by the factory... unless I am missing something here?

How do I get about torquing it down to spec?

Torque to spec using a crow's foot.

you can also get it snugged tight and then torque it with a regular socket...once its tightish, the ball joint part is held against the bar so it wont spin

How do i know if mine is busted. I don't see any damage visually but I can hear a slight clunk when I accelerate from a dead stop and only from a stop. It's just one clunk from a stop and than its fine. Lemme know. Thanks

I had a clunk/pop when turning (sometimes) and more often when I go over bumps. It started after I went over a pot hole. Took of the front wheels a few days later and the end link was sheared right off the side. (at the joint where it turns 90*)
