94 CX Teal Hatch
Aftermarket A/C looks kinda iffy...
Plus the drivers door is a different color and none of the front end body panels line up. This means it's been in a collision, so make sure it drives straight before you buy it. If it doesn't, you might not be able to fix it...
Also, it looks like the wheels have been repainted, so you might want to pop them off & have a look at the brakes & suspension to see if they are totally rusted or what...

car ran and drove fine. I thought that the AC on my brother's CX was a bunch of after market junk too back over the summer when i worked on his car. However, this only the second CX i have seen in stock form and it has the same weird looking AC components. So either the CX trim came from the factory with a weird looking AC setup or there was a kit available with all the EXACT same parts. Anybody know??

Right,i was like WTF are those lines upfront, they dont look like the regular stock A/C system....I guess the CX came like that, bump for someone to tell us!
How cold did it blow?Looks mint but I would never buy one,no nothing
No rear wiper,D15B8 with 8 valves puny 70hp more like 50whp.Crappy steelies when you could get the Si with the valve covers and a beefier engine.Thats why theres lower trims tho,for those who cant afford it or dont need options.
Might of been in a collision so check for that!

The earlier EG hatchbacks didn't come with the passengers side mirror. I don't know what year they added it, but my 94 came with it...
As for the A/C, the OEM A/C install kit was identical to the standard A/C that came with other models/trims. The one shown in the OPs pics is definitely an aftermarket kit that the dealer would have installed to save a buck. It's esspecially obvious by the rusty welded steel compressor mount. And the fact that you've seen another one with the same kit tells me this dealer did this to a lot of people...
A lot of times dealers install aftermarket parts and don't tell the customer for the simple fact that the customer didn't ask. It's kinda crappy but it happens all the time. When I bought my 03 element, the dealer installed a shitty aftermarket alarm system. I didn't realize it until I saw my buddies Civic remotes that had the honda emblem on them. Needless to say I was pissed...
As far as the model, the CX is great car to start with if you want to learn a lot and do a lot of projects yourself. It's light, and nimble. And the options are endless. You will spend a lot of time & money making a performance car out of it (I sure did) if that is your goal. If you don't like spending money, researching, shopping for parts deals, breaking things and working hard to upgrade, then you should probably just buy a civic thats already modified (you really have to know what to look for though)...
