spring rate?
in general, this is what many people will tell you...
softer rear:
pro: more comfortable on the street
con: tends to understeer
stiffer rear:
pro: more rotation
con: less comfortable on the street
while having the same rates front and rear might seem like a nice compromise, it probably isn't. the car will neither shine in handling nor comfort. this is what i've gathered anyway. there are many more knowledgeable individuals on here who could tell you more

^^ pretty much summed it up...... the rear weighs less than the front so generally it doesnt need as much pressure as the front so it will probably cause some oversteer......... BUT there is alot of people who prefer oversteer and even run higher rates in the rear than the front
its really a personal preference but if you dont have any experience with either setup i would stick with something a little more conservative in the rear

Example omni power coilover with 10k front 10K rear in an ej1 with b16 for DD some 1/4 mile runs also. My friend is wants to trade me my 12k coil for his 10K. I don't mind doing it just as long as my ride doesn't ride like crap.
