Ok I have a B20z2 swap in my ef hatch. My mods are brian crower stage 2 cams, header, full exhaust, BDL fuel rail and I switched over my old B20 intake mani to a LS.

Heres the problem, When I switched over the mani's I noticed a difference in them, the B20 mani had 1 port for coolant to move out of the block. On the ls there is 2. There is a bigger port on the left if your looking towards the back of the car and a smaller one on the right to go to the iacv. Now I already have a line going to the (well I guess it's the fmiv sorry about the mix up) coming off the coolant housing coming off the back of the block where the lower radiator hose comes to the block.

Anyways on the B20 mani there was 1 big port on the right side of the mani and 1 hose running from there. So there is 1 port that doesn't need used. Now should I switch the big hose to the small port for the coolant like it was on the old mani or keep the small port blocked off?

Reason why im asking is because the car was overheating after a bit of idiling but the fan wasn't kicking on so I found out the ground was broken, grounded it myself and it works fine now. But the motor seems to be getting warmer than I like but it seems to be no coolant flowing through the block.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you feel both rad hoses for warmth to verify that the coolant is not flowing? Is your thermostat good?

 

Well I checked everything out and got a thermostat. Im going to replace that and hopefully that will help. But while im here.

On the front coolant housing there is a small line going to the fmiv. Can I plug that off and use the line coming off the back of the mani since thats why it's there?
