Default there r lots of ls/vtec, b20vtecs but how about this...

thank you for reading my questions

i have been loved my h22 but i fried it(rip to Big H)
and still new to B series(i know they are similar to H)
i asume, this question has been asked B4 but i cant find anything..
so i m here to bum off some info...

when i first got my H n found out about motor creation,
i was amazed, i knew that honda swap engines for more HP but.. wow

first engine swap n now you can create powerfull motors w/ part from different engines

i know that ls/vtec, b20vtec, n h23 frenkinstein are the motors that define hondas' interchangerbility...

so here is quesions

what if i put b18c head on my b16a2 block..?
i know it fits but, but i don see any1 has b16 block n b18c head...

maybe bc b16 block can not stand higher-output/comp. of gsr/type-r head..?

what're the cons n pros..?

just curious....
and maybe in future.. BC i have parted out b16 down to head removal fewtimes and i think maybe i can do it at home w/o taking block out..

thank you for reading..

it happens so offten that it isn't funny...and a gsr head is only like ~.2-3 points higher for you compression....

EDIT for speling

not too sure about anything other than the raised comp, but i think the valvetrain itself is the same. Props to you as well, you speak/type like you have a passion for this. Something i can respect.

actually, i wonder if the gsr/b16 flows the same.. i would "think" the gsr would flow more cfm threw the head, being it is a 1.8 not a 1.6.. but I'm pretty sure the b16 and b18 exhaust and intake valves are the same size...

bump thow,

GSR cams have slightly better profile. combustion chambers of GSR heads are sightly smaller thus the small raise in compression. waste of time putting a GSR head on a b16 imo. unless for some reason you get one for next to nothing. the C1 intake manny sucks *** , i hate them.
