Default Questions on some parts

Im hopefully picking up a 91 5 speed DX CRX tommorow

Ive looked up some parts that i know I'm going to need to restore this....mess..

Majestic Honda has the driver side quarter panel glass up for $100, called a junk yard the guy said "Good luck on finding one" Wanted to know if its a good price for it, or i should dig more and some junkyards.

Needs a new dizzy for the d15, ebay got em up for about $120, Haven't asked the junkyard yet but, i would of figured they woulda been cheaper.

Most of the motors apart, ( trying to free up locked up cylinders) hasn't ran in a while (aprox. 200k) on the stock motor

Im in no rush to get this car going other then just wanting to drive it. Ive got nothin but time and alota beer with this project.

Think i should just Straighten out the body/interior get some paint then just swap a d16 or ZC into it.

So should i try to get the d15 going or scrap it and save some cash for a new motor?

Thanks for any input on this.

Ive worked on Mustangs for the last 3 years, and I'm seeing what i can do on the Honda end.

Ill also throw a build thread up so you can see the mayhem

I'd say save the trouble and just get another D series since, they're in abundance and fairly cheap. Then you can at least drive it while you think of some other thing to fix in the meantime.

I had a DOHC ZC in my CRX once. It was a great little motor. They can be had from here for about 450-500$.

That would be my reccomendation to you. As long as you take care of the engine it will take care of you, and Steve from Hmotors is really good to deal with.

Engine should come with a distributor, but mine pooped out on my after about 1000 miles, so I would say order a distributor king from ebay (probably 150 bucks)

Also would suggest replacing the timing belt/water pump when you get a new engine in there. Always the first thing you should do while the engine is out.

The glass could be a little difficult to source, Junkyards inventory usually changes quite frequently so it may be easier to find than you think. Look around a bit and see what you find. Good luck.
