Default Installing a door actuator on 97 Civic

I'm trying to hook up my new door actuator which I have installed in the door. The problem is that I can't figure out how to pass the wire from the door back to the car without drilling a new hole. From what I see the speaker wire is attached using a proprietary harness. I was hoping to run the actuator inside a wire loom along with the speaker wire, but I don't see them using anything like that.

Any ideas?

This has been covered a lot, and recently. Try the search, or actually, in this forum, it moves so slow, just flip through a few pages.

I have actually ran new wires to the doorson my 99 civic for my soundsystem, factory wires are way too thin for my amplifier for the front component speakers. its really a pain to do tho but, i had to do it in my case.

i dont know if its the right way to do it(definately not the quickest) but i took off the fenders to get to where the wires run into the car. then i took off the plug that goes into the door. i carefully took a drill and drilled a bigger hole in the plug(bigger than the factory holes in it). i ran the wires through the plug then into the door. i then ran the wire throug the blak tube that goes into the car. it was a pain to get that wire through but its a completly factory install doing it that way

i can post pics later if i can get the pics off of my other computer

yea, when i had my 97 ex i had to remove the fender. i didn't need to drill a hole in the molex plug tho. it wasn't too bad... if u can remove the fender it'll make your life that much easier.

now that i think of it tho.. if u have an ek without power locks you shouldn't even have a molex plug cause u have no power locks/windows in the door. u won't need to remove the fender cause it's just a lil rubber boot. i've done it on about 3 96-00 dx's at work already.

today after work I played around with it some more and got some more stuff done. My 97 cx does have those proprietary plugs, but I ended up cutting them off altogether. I left the rubber boots intact though, I like to put them back once I am done, but it is so difficult to get my hand in there, so I might just take off the fender. How many bolts hold up the fender?

Another new problem I have now is where I have mounted the actuator. I doesn't seem to work very well so I might have to move it down a bit. Where do you guys mount the actuator so that it is clear of the panel?

This is where mine is right now. I made a custom bracket for it:
