what's the sticky stuff???

what's the sticky stuff???

i just bought a replacement ignition control module and it came with a gel kinda stuff and the guy said to rub that over the metal side of the module before i screw it on to the mount. what is it and what's it for?? thanks.

I'd guess it's dielectric grease.

I would definitely use it. It will help prevent corrosion on the connections.

haha ya, but with some older cars it actually breaks down the connection, koreans cars kia's and hyndai's have this problem
