Default question about zc

I just have a quick question does anyone know if a zc in a 94 hatchback, that has stage 1 cams, header, stage 2 clutch, and a lightweight flywheel put out more horsepower than a b18a1 ls engine in a 91 hatcback fully rebuilt bored .20 over with oversized stock ls pistons, the head milled, b16 tranny w/ act 6-puck clutch kit, dc sports header, testpipe, full 2.5 exhaust, and a coldair intake? because i have a friend with a 94 hatchback and he says he thinks his zc puts out more power than my b18a1. I just want to know if anyone has any ideas or guesses whos puts out more power.

Tell him you will both go to the dyno. Whoever has less horsepower pays for the dyno session. Thats how hippies race i think

Alrighty...Stock a-spec ls's have aprox 140hp
Stock Dohc/sohc(vtec)'s make aprox 130-135hp
Obviosuly the bigger b-series has major advantages...tq/potential
Its common sense..however many other things play into this such as engine health/tuning. You can have a fresh built engine but may have the timing off a notch or the distrib timing off and unoticably running poorer than it should.
Comparing a fully built d-series to a fully built b-series is not logical. Dont get me wrong there are D-series runnin some amazing times at the track but can not make the power a b-series/k-series can obviously.
this is coming from a pure Dohc Zc fan here.
Im not ignorant and i know the limits of owning one. I have a dohc zc ina 91 si an i can barely beat a stock Gsr. So seeing that ur buddy has his ina 94 hatch is just retarded.
So i would say the ls will win..depending on driver but my bet is on urs.
