It depends who you ask, some people say they are way too stiff and bouncy, and some say they are great. I personally had a set on my old EG Hatch and thought they were pretty good, very stiff but not bouncy as long as I had the rebound cranked up on the AGXs I had. However, I like the Eibach Sportline/AGX combo I have on my 'lude now a bit better. I think the only people who have complaints about the skunks being bouncy is people who don't upgrade the shocks as well to something with more rebound damping.

Definitely replace your stock shocks. I'm on Skunk2's with stock shocks and I bounce all over the place.

Ive had the Skunk 2 semi-racing coilovers mated with Tokiko blue shocks and struts. I love it to death. Handles better than anything ive ever driven. I recommend them, but only with a nice set of Tokiko shocks and struts.

If you have the cash then Tokico Illuminas or KYB AGXs are both better suited to lower/stiffer rates then the Tokico blues (Blues are basically stock replacements). However, if you can afford a little more, then Koni yellows are where it's at

what are the spring rates of skunk2s springs? maybe most people dont like them not because they are too bouncy, but because theys imply are too stiff for their taste. because sportlines and other comparable springs have relatively soft rates.

the problem is finding a nice strut/spring set up that will fit my lude no more than 400-450. i'm not trying to drop my car more than 1.2ish because of my expensive lip and because i drive my car everywhere. plus i like to be comfortable in my car.

I have a set of skunk 2 coilovers paired with tokico blues. The shocks arent the best or worse, but I bought them new,so they werent that bad.The springs are definately stiff, but almost eliminate body roll if u lower ur lude 2 to 3 ".I would not reccomend them to sombody is seeking a comfort ride,u definately feel every crack or pot hole in the road.
But I think they would be fine with the agx series,or even koni yellows.Just the hp isnt the best shock out there, especially with the skunk2's springs or coilovers.
To put in perspective,my buddy ordered some super stiff springs for drag racing(CRX),and the spring rates were suprisingly close to the skunk 2 coilover springs on my lude.

wtf?! you guys either cant handle a stiff spring or skunk2 has some ridiculous rates! my friend with a 91 bmw 325i has ireland engineering race springs that are around 500lbs/in front and rear (give or take 50lbs or so) and he has koni yellows set to full stiff and they ride smooth! well, as smooth as a race worthy suspension can ride, but deifnitely bearable, even for 50+ mile road trips.

I got skunk2 springs, they are super stiff. I love 'em. I'll try and post up the spring rates soon. Lowered ~ 2.7" all around and it rides nice. Not bouncy. With full pressure in the tire - you feel everything underneath you, so I just run them dragstrip style.

I never said I dint like the ride or its too stiff for me,its just not for every1.I take 30 mph corners at 75....so they work out great for me and my driving style, but they are too stiff for my girlfriend,my parents and everyone else who isnt into autoxing and drag racing. But I love them, but I definatley need to invest in some high dollar shocks.

I don't mind a stiff spring, but is the ride solid with a set of AGX's or Koni yellows? Because I've heard of some groud controls needing custom valved konis..

thats only if you get custom rated GC with some real high spring rates.
