Default p28 ecu in a obd II d16y8

Does a p28 ecu respond better to upgrades than the ecu (i forget the code) that comes in the 96+ ex's? I know its very chip friendly and it has a higer fuel cut but other than that, would it be worth it to put it on a d16y8?
If anyone has done this sort of thing before please inform me on the pro's and con's
thanks in advance.

a friend of mine did the conversion. u will have to build a conversion harness or buy one from somebody. the benefits were higher redline and earlier vtec engagement. just IM cjames235 he just did his recently.

u'd have to get a conversion harness, which i feel wouldnt be worth the money for just a slightley higer fuel cutuff, plus vtec on SOHC isn't all that great IMO
