questions for Respraying some factory body panels.
I have a stock Silver DC i picked up not so long ago, and it came to me with a body kit soo i picked up a few stock pieces all of which require a respray.
I have sprayed automobiles as a hobby a few times, and havent had a problem.
But my question really lies in where to purchase the factory silver I will be using and, what Kind of primer should I use to get the factory results?
this isnt a show car this is a go car, sooo as long as the paint holds up to chicago weather Im fine with it.
thanks in advance.

Ok, first things first. You said it wasn't a show car, but are you blending into other body panels? Second of all are you covering body work, do you need to fill any pin holes? If not then just go with a quality urethane sealer/ primer. If you are going over body work then go with a high build primer. Like ppg, dupont, sikkens or even r&m. Make sure to go with the same brand as your paint for best results. I will be happy to answere any other questions you have.
well thanks I wil be purchaing New body panels, but front and rear bumpers require a little sanding and cleaning up prior to me priming them.
Like you said factory lisence plate holes, small knicks and scratches also need to be worked away.
I will only be respraying fenders, front and, rear bumpers. Matching is kinda important, But my main concern is ability to hold up to severe weather.
