I don't think 400 lb is stiff for daily driving, especially if you say you like a stiff ride. The stiffness of the rear spring and shock is what you'll really feel. Adjusting the front shocks up and down doesn't really change the ride quality much, like a small adjustment in the rear does.

I have 500 lb springs in the rear of mine and with the Konis turned all the way up, yeah, it can be a little stiff and annoying. But, when the rear shocks are in the middle range, I think it's quite comfortable. I normally keep the shocks turned up because I like a solid ride too.

Because you say you like a stiff ride, I think you'd like those spring rates and wouldn't find them intolerable. If, however, your idea of a stiff ride turns out to be somewhat soft compared to what I think is stiff, then you shouldn't have too much trouble selling them and finding some used Eibachs in the used spring thread in the Road Race forum.

those are the same rates I run on my 99 Coupe and I think they're fine. Everyone's opinion on whether a setup is too stiff will differ though

I think they work great when you have a big breasted girl riding shotgun!

(make sure you crank up the konis to full stiff in the rear)

She may not like it too much.
