Need adivce on my GSR build please!!
ive been searching alot and trying to decide what im going to end up doing with my gsr. I found it somewhat hard to find information when i have specific things i want to do, conserining my own build. I was planning on doing more of an OEM bottom end and spending the money on the head. This car is going to be my daily driver, so im trying to figure out a build that will work good, being my daily. While trying make it some-what of a budget build.
Block:
Stock sleeves
Bore .20 over (81.5mm)
Use my gsr rods (get them cleaned and polished)
Oversized b16 pistons
Head:
Supertech valve train=
- flat faced or dish vales??? (trying to decide between the 2)
- dual valve springs
- retainers
Good port and polish (hot tanked)
Skunk 2 stg 2's or BC spec III's, any other opinions? I cant decide.
Skunk 2 cam gears
IM and TB bored
Also trying to decide on a header at the moment.
Opnions and suggestions would help me out so much. It would be appreaciated guys.

seems like you have a grasp on what you want to do. what kind of power goals are you wanting?
i'd recommend going itr or jdm itr pistons rather than the b16 you have planned, which one you choose would be dependent on your target c/r. also the only reason for flat valves is a small increase in compression, so if you don't care about that then there is really no need for them.
as far as header, that is also dependent on your power goals. a Tri Y will net you quite a bit more peak hp than say a JDM ITR 4-1

i have the same goal for my build
mine will be:
aebs intake mani
68mm throttle body
jdm itr pistons
81.5mm bore
aftermarket fuel rail
brian crower valvesprings and retainers
rage or similar tri y
flat face valves
undecided on cams, blox type B, brian crower stage 3, skunk 2 pro 1's
i'm looking for a static CR of 12:1 and going to tune it on 91 octane

not bad, do you have a budget? and if so how much is it? and is there anyone else with set ups they can show me that could help me out? or any orther adivce?
s2s2's will make power well above 8k on the right setup. bcIII+ have a better midrange but wont have the topend of the s2s2's. look into rm m22x or skunk2 pro1 as well.

i have no budget, i simply buy the parts when i can afford...budgets are meant to be broken
as far as suggestion, you should replace all seals while the block is apart, its not cheap but it is worth it
