6th Gen Front Lip Question
I've seen Mugen and TypeR style front lips for 4Dr, but they are listed as only 98-01. Will those fit the 02 ones? I ask one of the guy that was selling one on the forums and he said was not sure how the fitment is. I was wondering if anyone had one thier 02 model and how is the fitment on them?
it does fit, but with minor modification. if you look at the 98-00 bumpers, they have one big mouth as a the grill. if you look at the 02 bumpers, they have a big mouth in the middle and two smaller ones on the side. if you buy a 98-00 bumper, all you have to do is cut a little bit off the lip to make it fit. let me see if i can find some pictures

Jxi8s2k,
Your pictures are labeled all wrong.
The first pic shows the 01-02 sedan bumper.
The third pic shows the 01-02 coupe bumper.
98-00 bumpers are different than the ones in your pictures.

It will not be a perfect fit. Besides the fact that the grill openings are different between 98-00 sedan bumpers and 01-02 sedan bumpers, the bottom of the bumpers are shaped a little different. I couldn't tell you how well it would fit.

hey good looking out phil. i thought the sedans and coupes had the same bumper 98-00. i read somewhere that 98-00 body styles were the same and they made changes on the 01-02 (bumper/hood)

98,99,and 2000 accords had the reverse lights and signals above the brake lights and the front bumper had only ONE horizontal bar on the grill holding up the Honda logo
01,and02's are ugly imo the taillights have the signals and reverse below the brakes, and was just a big clear window goin accross, makes the car look like it has a sagging *** for some reason, on the front, there are TWO horizontal bars on the bumper grille holding up the honda logo
then the difference between coupe and sedan front bumpers for (i think)all years is that the coupe has cutouts for foglights and sedan doesnt...

Close...
98-00: The opening in the coupe's bumper was much wider than the sedan's. The shape around the bottom edge was also slightly different.
01-02: Coupe had... well, just look at the pics a few posts above. They're both 01-02 cars.

meh well i was close
still 98-00's are better lookin imo
OT: may seen rice, but can i put a coupe front bumper on my sedan, so that it can have the wider opening
or atleast point me in the right direction towards a lip i wont have to paint, not to be rice but cuz the paint on my car is custom (unmatchable) color
it was supposed to be like a candy paint really, black base coat, blue flake on TOP...
but i think i may have been given oe honda paint
heres some pics, both to tell the bumper, and the color

I just answered this in 2 different threads in the past couple days, not to mention all the times before this past week...
Anyway, you can use the coupe bumper, but you will need to get the coupe hood so that there are no alignment issues.
You say your paint is unmatchable, yet you want to put a coupe bumper on? You would have to paint it... In regards to lips, you don't HAVE to paint anything. But, uh, all paint can be matched. It's just a matter of how good the painter is.

You have the idea correct, placing it between the img tags correctly, but first you need to upload the image to a picture hosting website like PhotoBucket or any of the many others. Then you paste the images URL (Right click the image and select properties, then highlight and copy the URL) between the img tags like you tried above.
