Default How to clean oxidization off windows?

OK i JUST got a brand new 07 STI, and washed it for the first time tonight... i get to my windows and notice water spots that won't go away. is there a cleaning agent that will help? cause windex didn't do shiz.

i used to use a razor blade when i had my civic. iono if you want to try though on a o7 sti.

yeah i'm going to have to pass on that one... any chemical agents, like along the lines of windex?

the way you should do this is go to home depot buy one of those plastic scouring pads ppl use for dishes, then park your car in the shade to make sure the windows are cool, then soak them in windex, any kind will do, after a little while you will see the windex working but you need to help so take the pad and in a one way circular motion clean the window off, as you do this use paper towels to clean the area you just did, you'll see this works real well, its what i have done for years and my windows look like they aren't even there

this doesn't scratch or leave swirl marks? and can u link an image to the pad on home depot's site or something? it may be generic but i don't wanna end up with a f'n SOS pad destroying my windows.

You could try soaking a rag in vinegar and laying it across the glass for a few minutes allowing it to loosen up the water spots, then wash it off.

EDIT: just ordered the DP glass restorer stuff, i'll let you know how it works out.
