Just curious if I understood the question correctly, the ground that attaches to the valve cover? My car wouldn't start without it attached...are we thinking of the same ground?

i didnt mewan your car sucks really i was kidding
but the only reason you might have probelsm is if your missing like 90 percent of the grounds in the engine bay

i am shaving my engine bay and did the radiator support first and accidently welded the hole for it shut

then u might want to check all your grounds. u dont have to have that specific ground on the valvecover for your car to start. if u have a ground on the block for instance. then the head is automactically grounded, because its mated to the block. its pretty basic electrical

my girlfriend changed her valve cover from the obd1 ls to the obd2, had the ground there and the car wouldn't start, couldn't even pop the clutch, moved the ground and it fired right up.

that's odd. alot of you are saying that it won't start. all my cars didn't have it there. like i said b4, i regrounded mine elsewhere.
