Default Gsr and Ls exhaust the same???

Anyone know if there is any difference between an Ls and a Gsr exhaust? i recently bought a Apexi Noir Gsr exhaust for my Ls and it happens to be about 4 inches longer and hangers are in a different location, anybody know???

As you've discovered, the '94-'99 GS-R exhaust is approximately 4"-4.5" longer than the LS exhaust.

I don't really know what you mean by "groove", but the chassis is essentially identical between the two models.

someone correct me if im wrong. but its because the gsr exhaust manifold is shorter then the ls. thats why the exhaust you bought is longer . all you have to do is shorten the b-pipe and it will bolt right up.

actually the Gsr exhaust that i got is longer than the stock Ls exhaust... but you know what i think, i think its because i got one for a sedan... its hard to say cuz nowhere on the box or the installation sheet does it say anything about sedan or coupe, it kinda sux! i gotta contact Apexi to see whats up...

correct me if im wrong but isnt the 94-99 gsr exhaust manifold tha same length as the ls? its just tha 00-01 gsr exhaust manifold is shorter so the b-pipe would be longer.

a side question, but can you swap a ls or typeR header onto a 00-01 gsr head?

^ All B-series exhaust manifolds have the same bolt pattern = you can put whatever B-series header you want on a B-series head. Your just going to have to accomdate your exhaust to fit your header. Or a better alternative is to get a test pipe made.

The '94-'99 GS-R manifold is shorter than the LS, hence the reason that the '94-'99 GS-R needs a longer exhaust B-pipe. The '00-'01 GS-R, the LS, and the ITR all have the same length manifolds and exhausts, and they're completely interchangeable.

Any of them will bolt to any B-series head, however.
