93 eg with b18c1 help
Blue smoke means oil, means that you need to (possibly) get some oil addtive to help reduce valve or ring leakage. You dont want blue smoke allot, so get that checked out soon. Most motors with high milage or ones who have been mistreated will shoot smoke on VTEC engagment.
For future reference, take this down
Blue : Oil burning, not good, get it checked.
Black/grey: Running rich, this is fine, you see it more often with cars that have no cat, especially on hard downshifts, vtec hits, and most of all, boosted cars. Again, some black\grey smoke is fine, BUT if it gets bad, it means your running TOO rich, and need to do a tune up or replace your MAP sensor, and plugs.
White: This is condensation. You will see some form or another of it when your car is warming up, due to humidty and condensation blowing off, out the exhaust, BUT if you see allot while driving, it means Coolant is burning off, which can be from a few problems. A common one would be a worn or blown head gasket thats leaking coolant into the motor. This can also be from inexperienced Manifold work of hooking the wrong tubes up to the manifold. Ive had first hand experience of this working on the "Downdraft" style manifolds of Y7's (their a bitch to work on). White smoke, if in large amounts, means you need to get it checked right away.
