Default Bltcivic's Poormans Rebuild!

UPDATES ON PAGE 5

Just to let most of you know, Im not doing this mainly out of choice but out of need. For some reason while driving home from a weekly meet last week while shifting into third I heard a cracking noise and from then on every time I accelerated or shifted gears it felt like I had a broken motor mount. I got home and checked and it turned out to be worse than that. Part of the bell housing on my transmission that the rear mount bracket bolts to riped off. so I only had one bolt holding the bracket on . So since i was going to pull the motor I thought I would go ahead and do a partial rebuild. I plan to have the car back together buy the import alliance meet in july so wish me luck. I plan to do a full wire tuck which ef8kid will hopefully be helping me with. I also plan on removing the sound deadening in the interior and redoing the interior and mabey alittle suspension work

First day working on it I managed to pull almost everything out of the engine bay. Heres the pics

Autozone jackstands ftw

Jdm b18b with gsr tranny

Heres the culprit of this rebuild!

Disassemply of the front end! Hopefully get some jdm spec headlights and corners!

Motor finally out

Closer view of the bell housing

Needs some cleaning and mabey a repaint

What my living room looks like now

Hopefully Ill have the interior started on and the bay cleaned by next weekend . I'll be updating every couple of days but me working every day doesnt leave me alot of time to work on the car but I'll keep yall updated! Thanks for looking and comments please

In to see progress. You must be renting..... because you would have something under those tires to protect the carpet if you were buying

You leave the car out on jacks when not working on it?

I'm 99.999% sure this will turn out nice if Chase is in on this

I've done it before. I left my hatch on jackstands for a couple months while I was re-doing all my brakes and suspension stuff. Took awhile to get parts and stuff.

Yeah Im renting and before my lease is up Im going to steam clean it . The reason I left it on jackstands was for taking off all the suspension but I had to go on a date with my lady

Ahhhh, I wouldnt even try to pull it out by hand. I would drop it from the bottom rather than pull it out with my hands
