Default Fender flares for slicks/big DR's on streetcars?

After seeing ther recent threads with guys running huge drag radials on the street and actually getting traction show hope that a high HP fwd can actually be streetable. Now I just want to know if anyone has done any fender flare setups so they dont have to have the car jacked up so much in the front, and not that it looks bad, it would just be nice to have a more level suspension and not look like a funnycar driving backwards. I would be running a similar size DR as my slick pictured below (24.5x8.5). Just curious.

IN for pics...

Also your jegs on the front... what backspacing did you order?

it isn't the height of the car it is the fact that without the right backspacing on the wheels they will rub on the inside but even if you get it right the wheels stick way out pas the fenders and I doubt anyone will make a flare that will cover that. I know AR Fab had some crazy flares on their Turbo4 car a few years ago but I don't think they would work well on the street

If someone made custom fenders I would buy them for shure!

Maybe some offroad companies that make the custom wide fenders that you see on the Baja Trophy trucks could conjure up something

I would definetly have to throw the power steering back on though...I couldnt imagine coming back from the gym after working back/biceps/forearms and trying to manuever my car around at lowspeed

My 25.5" dot's actually clear my fenders without having to cut or add flares. This is on a gsr with factory backspacing. The problem is the tires rubbing inside the fender well, so it has to be raised slightly in the front....unless you have a really high spring rate.

I think it looks cool, but I also know what they are. I get a lot of strange looks from everyday people when I take it out for a Sunday drive.

who needs fenders? take them bitches off

on another note, if you're DR's are gonna poke as much as your slicks do, and you want to ride at the height thats in the pic you posted, those fenders will need cutting anyways. i've never seen big flares for hondas or acuras, however, on that note, i think huge fender flares on the front alone would look just as, if not more, ridiculous than just riding at a higher ride height. Just somethin to think about

ive got the same issue. at the HIGHEST ride height, the largest i can fit is 22's (bolted on in pic). the next tire closest are 24.5's and then 26 inch DR's... neither of which stand a chance in the world of fitting on the car with the current suspension without cutting the **** outta the fenders

my friend has fender flares on his teg. he uses them for scca racing they are black & just attach to the fender, dont look to bad but i would let the tires stick out anyday . lets people know your seriouse, scares the slow cars from racing so u dont wast fuel.

ill try to post a pic of his car

I'd be careful running those tires on the street! Basically those are a slick that's DOT rated & without putting water under your tires every time you plan on launching, you should just get stock ijn axels.
I'm planning on running my my MT et street drag radials, as where when I was sent the wrong tires (yours) I sent them back for the DR's. I like my tranny to much to through those on!

My fault I didn't see the end where you plan on running the DR's. Just get yourself a custom sup. to raise the front so you don't cut your tires.

I could easily take some dims of the tires and design fenders on AutoCad Inventor...I could even do a stress analysis and see how they would crinkle if you were to get hit on the side or the front

you'd probably break more axles on dr's than slicks. i know thats what i've always noticed. slicks for the most part just hook or spin. dr's tend to wheel hop a lot.
