Hi I changed the battery in my car about 2 weeks ago, and about 2 days after i did that since then the battery light has been randomly turning off and on. Most of the time it happens when i come to a complete stop it turns on and then when i drive off it goes away. When im just driving along it will randomly flicker. Im assuming this is a pooched alternator is there any other way for me to be 100% sure thats what it is ? Thanks

 

whats happening is the alternator is not putting out enough power when the engine is at idle speed. when you take off from a light the engine speed increases, therefore, spinning the alt. faster. just take it to autozone and they will test for free. 99% sure thats yer problem

That is exactly what it is. I had that same problem 2 weeks ago. You need a new alternator.
